Within minutes of walking up to a new couple, I can tell that we are truly a great fit. This was especially true with Jared and Allison. The weather had called for chilly rainy weather on this date. When the day finally came it was overcast for part of it but then the sun broke through the clouds. They were so relaxed. I can’t explain how wonderful it is to work with couples that fully trust me. Allison has known me for a couple years and has followed my photography journey. When I found out her and Jared were engaged I couldn’t have been more excited for them.
During the holidays Jared took the opportunity to pop the question. It was a cold winter evening (Christmas to be exact) in Michigan and they were cozy by the wood stove. The tree lights were sparkling and the rest I guess you could say was a blur. Allison didn’t even have to think about it. She knew the two of them were meant to be together.
After a couple months of planning we decided to wait until spring for their engagement session. Jared is from a family of farmers so it was only natural to go to his grandparents (who are the sweetest couple btw) and make memories. We then moved over to Holland. It is just before tulip time so we were able to catch some of the blooms before the rush of people came by. For April in Michigan I’d say this was not bad at all.
