WHAT IS YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?
I love being both interactive and discreet throughout the wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish everything that needs to be done while staying on schedule. There will also be moments when you shouldn’t even know that I’m there. (The ceremony, during dances and toasts, etc.) I teach my couples how to pose, model and interact during their engagement session so they are naturals on the wedding day and don’t need quite as much instruction from me!
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT MY "DETAILS" PHOTOGRAPHED?
When I begin a wedding day by capturing and styling bridal details, I use this time as my warm-up for the rest of the day. I normally take these details away from the busyness of the bridal suite to start styling them. This allows me to have some time to get into the flow of shooting for the day. These detail images that are captured will serve as a visual transition point in your story. Without these details your album design, blog post, and overall gallery can seem very busy an jumbled. In my experience, capturing details allows me to get into the rythm of seeing the day creatively with your style in mind! This time really sets the state for the consistency of your entire wedding day. This part of my process often leads to enhancing the overall look of the day because I will then have time to organize and style your details in an editorial and my high-end way.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS? WHEN SHOULD WE DO THEM?
I love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I recommend booking engagement sessions no less than 3 months from your wedding date to avoid stress. All sessions have 60 miles of travel from 49401 included. Engagements are complimentary because they are more of a get to know each other session for us before the big day. ( I take a huge cut in my time and resources because I value getting to know you and see how the two of you interact) I'm often asked if this can be deducted from the collections and in an honest and short answer I say No. Why wouldn't you take advantage of something for free and spend time getting to know your photographer before the big day?
HOW MANY IMAGES DO WE RECEIVE AND WILL BE GET DIGITAL DOWNLOADS?
I average 50+ images per hour that I’m shooting. I love delivering my client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will have the ability to print, share and download your images as much as you want. I believe in freely sharing my work because that is what I would want if I was in your shoes!
DO YOU CARRY LIABILITY INSURANCE?
Sometimes wedding venues want vendors to show proof of liability insurance (A COI- Certificate of Insurance Liability) If your venue needs this just let me know and I'd be happy to connect with them and make sure the correct information is issued before you wedding (Please allow 24 business hours to provide this).
HOW MANY HOURS DO WE NEED FOR OUR CELEBRATION?
I am often asked if 8 hours is enough time to capture the full wedding. This really depends on what you want covered. If you have multiple locations and choose to see each other for the first time at your ceremony this can prolong the hours and you will need 10 hours to cover everything from details and getting ready to a couple minutes of party dancing. If you find you need more coverage as we approach your day we can add more at the time.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE PAYMENTS AND WHEN ARE THEY DUE?
Based on the collection you choose you will pay 30% of that at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 1 month before your wedding date. You are able to pay as little or as much as you want prior in your client portal. Some couples like to pay each month and some like to pay their remaining balance on it's due date. That is completely up to you.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
We will set up a consultation meeting. Afterwards I will send over a proposal for you to make your selections, sign your contract, and pay your retainer.
