Michelle and I met in a local photographer group and I’m so glad we did. Her and I just hit it off and I think it has to do with us having similar personalities. The most rewarding part of this session is knowing how much she’ll treasure them. For any parent who spends so much time on the other side of a camera I want to be there for you in a moment of reality. It’s time to stop hiding behind your lens and get in front with your family and/or friends.
For Jeff and Michelle this is the first home they have owned as a family. They spent so much time traveling and moving for work before deciding to settle down in Grand Rapids. This is the first place as a family they’ve lived for longer than 2 years. It only seemed fitting to freeze these moments of theirs in a home they love.
Andrew and Cooper (their two boys) are full of energy and life. During their session they spent time drawing and reading from books they enjoy. Jeff is such a proud Dad of these boys so even though he is not big into drawing he’s ready to take on anything his kids are interested in. As far as Michelle she is a dedicated Mom who is ready at a moments notice to switch things up and go with the excitement.
You may also notice a few images of sweet Ellie Mae (their 10 year old lab). She too is full of energy, but is so loving and kind. She will kill you with kisses while stealing your food at the same time.
