Due to unforeseen circumstances I was invited to photograph Trevor and Niki’s wedding the day before. I’ve always wanted to photograph winter weddings since they take up half the year here in Michigan. It’s not ideal by any means (It was definitely cold) however they are so darn beautiful. You’ll see throughout the images how stunning Niki is and how and intimate wedding with close friends and family can be just as beautiful as if you were to invite hundreds.
The day had amazing sunshine which I was so thankful for. Not only because it kept us warm but because it makes the most beautiful images for portrait time. It was different for me to show up and meet the bride and groom for the first time on their wedding day but it was a blast. Can I just say, in a day of pure white (besides Niki) The veil really stole the show. All the black lace against a blank canvas really reflected Niki’s personality in a beautiful way.
