Rose Family 2020

If you’ve followed my photography for a while you would know that this family is not new to Kara Hanes Photography. I have photographed them since their oldest, was born. They have been on this wild journey with me as I learn and grow through my photography and I’m so grateful for their loyalty. Courtney and I have know each other for as long as we can remember and it’s such an honor to be able to pause their family moments briefly so that they can cherish them year after year.

For the first time I photographed a family at Grand River Park in Grand Rapids near the amazing willow trees that are so absolutely dreamy. Not far from there is an old furniture building great for the perfect neutral background that makes these earth tone colors pop. We decided to do this session in the morning 2 hours after sunrise and it was absolutely perfect with overcast.

xoxo
