I had the absolute honor of being able to work with a dear friend and her family in a beautiful family session on the beaches of Lake Michigan. The Marsh’s are a blended family and not only was this their first session with the three of them, but we had the chance to shoot at a location that was near and dear to them as well. Aprille’s entire family would spend a week every summer in a cottage at Lake Michigan. The summer memories came flooding back during our session which made it even more special.
Little Tip: Choosing a location, like this for the Marsh Family, can make their experience that much more not even more special, but can add a level of comfort for anyone who might not love being in front of the camera. This beach session turned out to be perfect in so many ways!
By the way, did I mention that Phil gifted this whole session to Aprille as a Mother’s Day gift? This was such a special surprise for her and really was a blast to be a part of. Their pastel palette really complimented all three of them and went perfectly with their location. These photos are going to be so very special for them in years to come – and who knows? Maybe one will be the official 2021 Christmas Card!
