Kaylynn and Drew are dear friends of mine. We met at church where the three of us worked together. At that time I was taking a break from photography and working part time in ministry. When she asked me to photograph their wedding I couldn’t say no. This day was so special. I’m not sure if you can tell from the photos but the morning of it was pouring rain and then it was misty during their portraits. Photographing during the rain is not ideal but I’m so thankful for the two of them and their willingness to venture around. The ceremony took place at Drew’s home church in Rockford. It was such a fun venue. It was once a paper mill which is why there were loading docks. Between the ceremony and reception we stopped in downtown rockford because this was a special spot for the two of them where they wanted to take a breath, enjoy one another on their day, and read special letters they both wrote to one another. If there is anything I tell my brides and grooms it’s that the day will go so fast. Make sure to spend some time during the day where the two of you can sneak off and soak it all in together.
Since this blog post is almost 2 years later, I don’t have all the vendors listed but with coming back to photography I knew I just had to share with all of you how beautiful this wedding was.
