I’ve known the Brewer family for a number of years. Recently I was able to work at the same organization as Jayson called Never The Same (mid-pandemic) where I was helping plan a large prayer movement. You can read more about that time in my life under my “Meet Kara” page. Earlier in the fall there have been some changes in life and the Brewers had to cancel their family session with another wonderful photographer. Katie thought that family photos were just not going to happen this year and it’s ok. That’s life but I was determined to make it happen for her. Lately she has been helping me with my mini sessions and as we were talking the other day about doing a session I said “tomorrow is supposed to be nice, should we do it then?” Joking of course Katie said she pretty much found everything she needed the family to wear from their own closets so let’s do it! Within 24 hours we planned and executed their family session. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as nice as we thought but I’d say it worked out in the end and their family is absolutely adorable so no matter the circumstances it would be fine. As I told the kids when they arrived. The main goal of their photos were to have fun so as we went through I’d say that was accomplished. Jayson and Katie, even though this Michigan weather is unpredictable you nailed it and I’m so glad that you were able to get family photos for 2021!
