This session was an absolute dream. We were all wisked away in a winter wonderland in west Michigan after a fresh snow fall. Don’t let this session fool you. It was a huge project in the making. Marcie and I would converse every time we saw snow in the forecast. In fact when it was snowing the night before I knew that the sun would be coming out and by noon it would all be melted. We then planned to go right at sunrise. The only option. The flakes stuck to the trees and glistened and it was only for an hour or two. We even got part of that sunshine towards the end of our time together. Can we all just admit that this session looks like it’s straight out of a Hallmark Christmas Movie? How perfect. Though the kids were less than trilled for the cold I told them this is their Christmas gift to their mom. It was cold. Coats were on and off quickly. I also told them that each time I do their photos they luck out with the most beautiful sky and I have no idea how to make their next session just as good. Lo and behold, this current session. However in the words of their daughter Emma Grace “Next time can we do our photos in the desert?” My answer to her was yes! Let’s make epic photos in the desert next time.
