Engagements

Michael and Amanda

This was my first time meeting Michael and Amanda. The two of them are from Traverse City but didn’t meet each other until college here in Grand Rapids. With their wedding taking place next year by a family friend in Traverse they wanted to get their engagements done here in Grand Rapids. These two are sweet, funny, and all around fun to be with. Michael’s jokes are what kept us going on this hot, sticky, humid, Michigan evening. Regardless of the weather these two brought their own heat and I’d say it was gorgeous.

For our session we began at Aman park where the two of them like to hike. This was my first time photographing there so it was fun having them show me around. Afterwards we set off to Holland. We had a little extra time so we decided to stop downtown. Below you’ll see the image of them sitting in the Adirondack chairs which I’m guessing if you fast forward 40 years this is how the two of them will be spending their evenings-sitting together watching the sunset. At the end of the evening we headed over to Holland beach where they opened the Ale they saved from when they got engaged this past July. I mean, what could be a more perfect date than sipping your favorite beverage on a blanket as the sun goes down?

Guys I wish you all the happiness and before you know it your day will be here. I hope our paths cross again someday. Cheers!
