I met Kristy through her sister Katie. Together both Kristy and I share a love for dogs so she knew that I’d love to photograph Rusty and Wilson. I’m far from a pet photographer but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to meet them and her. I’ve always wanted a westie so I really enjoyed photographing Wilson.
Rusty was received as a puppy from Nana Sam and Papa Fred at Hyer Luv Cockers – he came home to his brother Fletcher, a 5yo Westie (who has since passed) in November 2008. Kristy’s cousin Kaja went with her to pick him up…. As Rusty was leaving, Nana Sam sang “you are my sunshine” to him… he has been my sunshine for 12 years. No one could love Rusty does like his Mama. After Fletcher, her first Westie passed in March of 2019, she started looking at breeders with the thought that she’d get on a waitlist. She found a lady in South Carolina that had puppies that worked with her timeframe, she she asked lots of questions and selected the best fit for Rusty and herself. Wilson, flew home to his forever home in August 2019, at 13 weeks old. On the exact same day, August 16 that Fletcher came home to be 16 years prior! Typical Westie personality, and loving as ever. Did you catch that tongue sticking out?
Kristy it was a pleasure meeting you and your pups. Thank you for letting me document them and you!
