Grand Haven, Michigan is probably one of the two most popular beach spots I go to for photo sessions. When I met up with Corey and Simone we decided Kirk Park would be the best spot.
Simone and I were introduced to one another this year by a colleague of mine (shout out to Kelly Meyer!) because I was looking for someone to help me with my business book keeping. I was blessed to have her shared with me and honored to be chosen to document this milestone for their little family. We sure hit it off in the first couple minutes we needed as we waited for the sun to set a bit. During this time I got to know them as a couple.
Corey and Simone met each other at Grand Haven High School. They’ve practically had that girl/boy next door type of relationship. They both attended college, became engaged and then were married after nearly 7 years together. They’ve enjoyed marital bliss for the last two years and now they are welcoming their first child in late July. Guess what? It’s a boy, Elliot (Eli) VanderLaan. I can not wait to hear of his arrival and had a great time at this session. I hope we meet up again some day soon and not just via email for business! Congrats you two. You’re going to make wonderful parents!
